Multiquip of Carson, Calif., has introduced its new Whiteman
plaster and mortar mixer that aims to resolve the problems caused
on construction sites by the use of tow-behind mixers.
The new WM120SHHDS mixer is a stationary model that contractors can move
around a site with a standard forklift. The 12-cu-ft mixer's design includes
a wear-resistant 5/16-in. steel tub and greaseable seals.
In addition, a hydraulic drive allows mixing of stiff loads with no belt
slippage. The heavy-duty unit uses a 13-hp Honda gasoline engine and weighs
1,400 lbs.
Thanks to its stationary design, users don't need to work around the
wheels of the tow-behind model. The new unit also features retractable
and adjustable stabilizer jacks that allow placement in almost any location.

Mustang
Manufacturing of Owatonna, Minn., has unveiled a new 99-hp
diesel engine that offers more power and torque for its 2109 skid-steer
model - one of the largest on the market today.
The new Cummins B4.5T direct-injected engine is Tier II emissions-certified
and turbo-charged. It offers users 305 ft-lbs of torque, topping the previously
available 2109 engine by 5 percent.
The engine also has a grid-heater glow system designed to assist users
in cold environments by getting the machine up and running quickly even
on the coldest of days.
The new engine also will introduce additional maintenance-friendly features.
It features easy access to the dipstick, oil fill, and air cleaner features
and other key maintenance points.
In addition, the engine has a conventional liquid-cooled design that
demands oil and filter changes only at 500-hour intervals once an initial
50-hour service has been completed.
The Mustang 2109 already offers more lift capacity and lift height than
any of the seven other skid-steer models the company makes.

Sensors
& Software of Mississauga, Ontario in Canada has unveiled its
new series of concrete imaging equipment.
The Conquest DE line of ground-penetrating radar systems offers higher
resolution, a large color screen, a more compact sensor unit, and faster
imaging algorithms. The new features allow users to conduct better onsite
imaging of concrete than previous models.
The instrument allows users on a single side of a concrete surface to
locate rebar, post- tension cables, metallic and non-metallic pipes, and
conduits. It also allows the user to estimate slab thickness and locate
pipes and cables under slab-on-grade.
