LM80 Layout Manager

The LM80 Layout Manager is the latest Trimble product for use with servo and robotic total stations for construction layout.
The pocket-size Trimble LM80 provides contractors the ability to carry, manage, work with and lay out jobsite blueprints in the field.

The product is used with a servo or robotic total station for laying out control lines, offset points, excavation lines, foundations, forms and footers and anchor-bolt placement. Trimble's servo and robotic total stations work with the LM Layout Manager.Together, the LM80 Layout Manager and a servo or robotic total station replace string lines, transits and theodolites to provide layout from one point on the site, requiring no need to re-setup the instrument.

The LeeBoy Legend Electric Screed System

The LeeBoy Legend Electric Screed System, recently unveiled at CONEXPO-CON/AGG in Las Vegas, offers commercial-class pavers, an option for electric screed heat. The proven heating system had previously been available only on larger highway-class pavers.

The LeeBoy Legend Electric Screed System is available on LeeBoy 8500, 8515 and 8816 models. The electrically heated system features the design and construction elements that have made the Legend Screed an industry standard for mat quality and productivity. Those include bull-nose, heavyduty replaceable screed plates, angle of attack controls, front-mounted screed extensions and crown/invert control.

The system comes in 8- to 15-ft. paving width for 8500 and 8515 asphalt-paver models. The electrically heated screed for the heavier 8816 model has a paving width of 8 to 15.5 ft.

Electric-screed heat powered by an on-board electric generator offers the safety benefit of no flame, fuel or fumes from the screed-heating process as well as consistent temperature control of the heating elements across the width of the screed plate and extensions. The system also eliminates maintenance costs associated with warped screed plates and burner boxes. Contractors can choose propane or electricity as the fuel source.

Marini MP 2100

The Marini MP 2100 cold planer, with a cutting width of 83 in., is a high-production milling machine designed to remove a half-lane of road surface in one pass. Primarily used for removing damaged or deteriorated road surfaces from highways and city streets, the MP 2100 features a maximum working speed of 98 ft. per minute.

A fuel-efficient, 590-horsepower Deutz water-cooled diesel engine powers a milling drum with 168 cutting teeth for a high horsepower-per-cutting-tooth ratio of 3.52.

The cutting drum on the MP 2100 is controlled by four leveling struts and an independent microprocessor, resulting in cutting precision. The unit is capable of milling depths between 0 and 12.5 in.

The MP 2100's variable profile steering system and four-corner crab/coordinated steering provide an 83-in. internal turning radius, which is beneficial on cramped jobsites.
