A&P Appoints New VPs/Kiewit Names New Preconstruction Manager/CDOT Selects New Region One Director

Doug Johnson and Tom Horsting have been appointed vice presidents of Adolfson & Peterson Construction’s Mountain States region.

Johnson, vice president of preconstruction, oversees client relationship building, project planning, cost estimating, coordination of project scheduling and contract negotiation. He also participates in the strategic business planning for the Mountain States region.

Horsting, vice president of field operations, oversees all field staff and project sites, and coordinates project scheduling, logistics and project safety. He also participates in strategic business planning for the Mountain States region.


ARS Inc. of Denver promoted Scott Reynolds to president of the ARS companies.

Reynolds has more than 30 years of experience in various construction fields, most recently as VP/GM of ARS Inc. Reynolds’ responsibilities include the direct management of land development services, hydro-environmental services, soil stabilization, recycling and PDI Inc., a provider of continuing education.


Kiewit Building Group named David Einfeldt manager of preconstruction services for the firm’s Colorado office.

Einfeldt has 20 years of experience in the Denver market, including as a preconstruction director, project manager and design-build specialist. He led local design-build efforts on the $100-million Pinnacle Condominiums at City Park South, as well as the $70-million 1400 Wewatta Building. He was also part of the team that built the $100-million Anschutz Inpatient Hospital at Fitzsimons.


Anthony “Tony” DeVito has been selected as the new regional transportation director for the Colorado Department of Transportation’s Region One, encompassing most of central Colorado, including Interstate 70 between Vail and the Kansas state line.

DeVito, a 17-year CDOT employee, replaces Jeff Kullman, who retired from CDOT in September.

DeVito will oversee all CDOT activities in Region One, including construction and maintenance, planning and design.


Dan Kingery has joined Fort Collins-based Platte Valley Woodwords as its vice president of sales and marketing. Kingery will lead the company’s current sales force as it sets up distribution throughout the United States, beginning in the West.

Platte Valley Woodworks is an architectural millwork firm that specializes in the manufacture of distinctive custom doors and millwork.


Marty Richardson, senior estimator at Metropolitan Glass Inc. in Denver, has been promoted to director of business development and sales manager. He will provide leadership for managing the company’s day-to-day sales and marketing activities.

Richardson joined the company in 1981 and has worked as an installer, draftsman and estimator.


Three new professionals have joined Nunn Construction Inc. in Colorado Springs.

Hunter Minary, project engineer, is a recent graduate from Colorado State University in construction management. His experience includes the administration of both new and renovation projects for corporate and educational facilities.

Kellee Briggs, estimator, has a degree in civil engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Briggs’s experience includes military and renovation projects.

Nancy May has a graduate degree from Sonoma State University and more than 28 years of experience as an office professional.


Doug McCarthy recently accepted a position as the director of construction operations for Drahota. McCarthy has worked for Drahota since 1999 as a senior project manager and has over 35 years of construction experience.

He is a long-time Fort Collins resident and brings a vast range of construction experience to Drahota, including commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, medical and senior-care facilities and bank construction.

McCarthy’s new position at Drahota includes overseeing all phases of construction through supervision of project managers. He also implements measures to control and maintain project costs and schedules.
