Construction of the new 91,000-sq-ft patient tower at Montrose
Memorial Hospital in Montrose has begun. After G.E. Johnson
Construction Co. completed an expansion project five years
ago for MMH, recent growth in the area has created the need
for more space.
The new addition, designed by H+L Architecture, will include
additional patient beds as well as a new medical/surgical
patient care area with private rooms, a new emergency room,
intensive care unit, cardiac catheterization lab, front entry
and food service operation. The project has been designed
with a fourth floor shell to accommodate future expansion
and a rooftop helipad that directly accesses the emergency
room.
