In addition to the office move, Phipps also has begun construction on a new 4.3-acre yard facility at 6th and Salida Way in Aurora. This portion of the move will also take place at the end of 2007.

MKK Consulting Engineers Supports Area Youth Volunteers

MKK Consulting Engineers Inc. of Greenwood Village held a charity golf tournament this fall to raise money for the Arapahoe Rescue Patrol, an Arapahoe County-based nonprofit that is the only search-and-rescue organization in the country composed entirely of young adults.

Members are trained extensively in wilderness rescue, including rock- and high-angle rescue, avalanche rescue, swift-water rescue and wilderness life support. Adults participate on the board of directors, provide training and oversee operations, but it’s the youth who hold officer positions and command the search-and-rescue operations in the field.

MKK Consulting Engineers has a Community Service Committee that looks at various groups to support throughout the year. Each year, the firm reaches out to different types of charities to acknowledge the efforts that various organizations make.
