Access to southbound Interstate 25 and Invesco Field at Mile High should be
easier for motorists now, after the completion of the new frontage road to 23rd
Avenue on the west side of the highway.
As part of the new configuration, CDOT has permanently closed the on- and
off-ramps from I-25 to 19th Avenue and reconstructed the 17th Avenue and Bryant
Street intersection. The project also included construction of a 15-ft-wide
pedestrian walkway from 23rd to 20th avenues, separated from the frontage road
by a pedestrian railing.
Jalisco International Inc. of Commerce City was the contractor for the $3.6
million project, for which the city of Denver contributed $300,000.
